Subject: Position Announcement

ASSISTANT SERIALS LIBRARIAN: Florida Atlantic University is seeking to fill
a librarian position to assist the Coordinator for Serials Management and
Acquisitions with serials receipt processing and management activities for
modern print, non-print and mixed format serials. Duties include oversight
of order/pay/receipt processing for serials, claiming activities, staff
training, report preparation, vendor assessment and special projects. FAU
provides substantial online information resources, and participates in
consortial purchases with other State of Florida universities.

Required
ALA accredited master’s in library science
One year of acquisitions or serials experience
Work experience in an online integrated library management system
 environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Working knowledge of spreadsheet software
Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem solving skills, ability
 to work independently and in a collaborative setting

Preferred
Budget/fiscal planning experience
Academic library technical services experience

Salary: $34,000 Position is a non-tenured faculty position at the rank of
Assistant University Librarian on a 12-month contract renewal basis.
