Further automating acquisitions services beyond placing orders and
tracking expenditures depends on finding ways to develop interfaces
between integrated library systems and administrative systems used by
institutions to manage finances. During this session, pioneers in
developing such interfaces will share creative strategies for
establishing interfaces between acquisitions and financial systems and
offer suggestions for ways by which system developers can enhance
existing products.
Speakers are Joan G. Lamborn, Head of Library Administrative Services,
University of Northern Colorado; Patricia Smith, Coordinator,
Acquisitions Services, Colorado State University Libraries; Kris Reed,
Director of Financial Management, Central University Libraries, Southern
Methodist University.
