[SEND YOUR REPLY TO EAMON FENNESSY, NOT TO ACQNET. THANKS, ED.]

Fellow colleagues: This survey is the first in a series
on Distance Education to be published in Against The
Grain. Please give me the benefit of you experience and
that of your institution in this initial attempt to
describe the nature of Distance Education(DE). Later
surveys will address: copyright issues; delivery
technology; problems specific to your profession -
librarian, vendor, publisher, etc.

I would appreciate receiving your direct response to
this survey by December 31, 2001. My e-mail address is:
<efennessy_at_att.net>

(DE)?
2. For how long?
3. If your institution does not offer Distance Education

4. If your institution does offer DE, how would you
describe its status?

5. Is there one member of the faculty responsible for DE?
6. If one faculty member oversees DE, what is that
person's title?
7. Have any of your institution's DE initiatives been
cancelled? What was the reason?
8. Do you feel DE will still be offered by your
institution five years from now?
9. What advantages do you see in offering DE?
10.May I quote you in this survey?
