Subject: SURVEY: Charleston Conference/Distance Learning
[Ed. note: PLEASE RESPOND DIRECTLY TO MR. FENNESSY, NOT TO ACQNET]
The upcoming Charleston Conference will have a session
dealing with Distance Learning. A representative from
the U.S. Copyright Office will bring us up-to-date on
the Distance Learning report submitted to Congress and
will review the status of legislation coming from that
report.
If your institution has a Distance Learning program
please comment on the following questions: (The results
of this survey will be brought up in Charleston)
1. How long has your institution had a Distance
Learning Program?
2. Are you comfortable with the effect the program
has had on your work? Please identify your role.
3. What would you suggest to improve the program
from your library's standpoint?
4. Has Distance Learning benefitted your institution
and if so, in what ways?
Please respond to me. I will be moderating a panel
discussion of this topic at the Charelston Conference on
November 1st, from 4:30 - 5:30 PM. Many thanks
