Cataloging Products Specialist
Blackwell's Book Services, a world leader in academic bookselling seeks a
Cataloging Products Specialist. The Cataloging Products Specialist is a
member of the Database Services Department that provides sales and service
for cataloging products such as Table of Contents, CIP Upgrades, customized
MaRC records, and shelf-ready books. The Cataloging Products Specialist is
expected to provide expertise in MaRC cataloging practices, to act as
liaison with the Library of Congress and other catalog rule-making bodies,
and participate in new product development. Responsibilities also include
providing training and cataloging content support for editors of Table of
Contents and CIP Upgrade data as well as research to resolve database issues
related to cataloging.
Requires a Bachelors degree and an MLS or equivalent cataloging experience.
Requires good problem solving skills. Experience as a trainer and
familiarity with online library systems is desirable
