ACQUISITIONS LIBRARIAN
Alabama State University invites applications for an Acquisitions
Librarian. The selected applicant will be responsible for planning,
management, and evaluations of acquisitions functions including the
purchase and receipt of library/media materials in all formats, equipment
and supplies. Additional duties include: monitoring budget allocations
and reporting library expenditures, reviewing and negotiating database
license agreements, compiling accreditation expenditure reports and
surveys, and providing information literacy presentations and faculty
workshops.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in Library Sciences from an ALA-
accredited college or university. Minimum of three years professional
library experience in developing and working with acquisitions
procedures. Knowledge of bibliographic searching techniques using OCLC,
Voyager systems, or a similar online system preferred.
UNIT: Library-Academic Affairs.
SALARY: Negotiable. CLASSIFICATION: Professional/Non-teaching.
